Predictable AAC layouts

Predictable AAC for everyday communication.

Some AAC users prefer predictable layouts, stable symbol positions and reduced visual distraction. AbilityMic lets users prepare boards around their own vocabulary and preferences.

Keep familiar words in familiar places

  • Choose a consistent layout and keep frequently used symbols in familiar positions.
  • Use Fitzgerald Key colors to distinguish word categories.
  • Adjust vocabulary, contrast and motion settings to personal preferences.

Support on your terms

Boards can be changed as the user’s communication preferences and access needs change. A trusted person can help prepare vocabulary when the user chooses to share access.
